Here is the final graduating class of Shaw High
School. Yes, the Class of 2008 (there were ten graduates) appears to be
the last of 41 graduating classes from John S. Shaw High School. The Mobile
County School Board originally planned to turn the campus into a technical
school but the funds were not available when it came time to make the
transition so the School Board elected to close the school after this year.
Plans for the school remain uncertain at this time.
